The Firm represented winning bidders in the course of the privatization of electricity and gas suppliers, and has continued to represent these winning bidders. Therefore, the Firm continuously monitors legislative developments in the energy supply sector. The Firm has substantial experience with the administrative supervision procedures required to be effectuated by suppliers (for example, before the Ministry of Economy, the Energy Office, and the Office of Economic Competition), moreover in the licensing procedure for the approval of operational licences, and the regulation of the contractual terms relating to the supply of electricity and gas to consumers. The Firm also has acted as the consultant and has represented electricity suppliers vis-a-vis the Energy Office in the course of the preparation of the coordinated long-term electricity supply form contracts.

The Firm has successfully represented the interests of gas suppliers before the courts against the Hungarian Energy Office in relation to the invalidation of Office decisions which rejected the price revision claims made by the suppliers.

Currently, the Firm is advising its energy sector clients on their respective power generation projects.
